Children are incredibly impressionable. When they go through difficult circumstances, it can be so hard to guide them through their thoughts and feelings. As parents, we want to help them process, but sometimes, we don’t even know where to start.

I’ve learned that showing children how to rely on God at an early age gives them the foundation to draw near to Him in times of struggle. Too often, I’ve done what feels easiest—just turning on the TV and unplugging from reality. But what if we taught them another way? A way to seek comfort and truth in God instead?

That’s why I started writing children’s books about real experiences in my life. Because nothing I’ve gone through is an original experience. Maybe these stories will help your family too.

This book is my story of my mother having cancer. She was a warrior for Christ, and her faith carried her through. One day, I’ll share more in an upcoming episode, but for now, I challenge you—help your children unplug from distractions and draw near to God.

Because He is always near to us. ❤️
